About Sissoko Tribal Arts

The Sissoko Tribal African Arts collection is different from other collections and collectors in that it represents decades and in some cases, millenia of true tribal art. Sissoko is a native of Mali and is known and respected throughout the continent of Africa. Because of his status in the region, he has been able to acquire artifacts most people would otherwise not even know existed.

Every item of this collection was an actual piece used in ceremony & ritual, in daily life, or as a signature of royalty. Many of the tribes no longer exist.

The Sissoko collection contains art originating in countries such as Zaire, Ghana, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Togo, Moba, Ethiopia, Burkina Fasso, Mali, Cameroon, Gabon, Tanzania, Aufo, Benin, Sierra Leon, Sudan, and Ikonga(Dem Rep Congo) representing the tribes of Mbole, Baoule, Katanga, Santi, Ibo, Ebo, Dan, Dahoumey, Bamana, Mossi, Yoruba, Manilla, Bankoni, Dagon, Fang, Bakwele, Maconde, Glede, Lobi, Senufo, Dinka, Ijo, and more.

Inside these pages, you will find a wonderful and exclusive collection of masks, headdresses, arms, currency, jewelry, statues, musical instruments, ceremonial dancing items, pottery, terra cotta, artifacts. and antiques.
